14/08/2020 – Covid training update

Class # 1236 Artemis BJJ( my front room ), Bristol, UK – 14/08/ 2020 Still just solo drilling, with a continuing are concentrated on grilled chicken/ shell guard. I’ve been telling my uke to put in more opposition, so that’s been fun. Space is limited, which utters things difficult, plus the uke isn’t somebody who learns BJJ. Even so, it’s been useful having somebody to work off. This is as close as I’ve got to sparring since March, so I’ll take anything I are able to obtain. 😉 View this upright on Instagram

Latest bit of light-colored defiance, which is still the closest thing I’ve got to sparring at the moment. Trying to get my uke to up the resistance. Also instructing her on transferring. There’s more of this on the @ArtemisBJJ channel, if you’re curious. #ArtemisBJJ #SlideySpar #BrazilianJiuJitsu #BJJ #ArtemisBJJdrill #GrilledChickenBJJ #PriitGuard #covid19bjj #ZoomBJJ #lockdown #QuarantineLife #quarantine

I am planning to finally reopen Artemis BJJ categorizes in September. It will depend what regulations and rules stand at that point, conveying it could just be solo drilling categories. I’m hopeful that we might be able to train in ‘pods’ by that quality, with the same 3 or 4 beings every class, but we’ll understand. Either way, I’m in the middle of preparing: modernizing the breathing, tagging out cavities on the rugs for social distancing, ordering infared thermometers, professional assessment of risks, etc. Keep an nose on the Artemis BJJ Facebook page for modernizes about reopening, “shouldve been” more story soon. :D( c) 2004 -2 017 Can Sonmez, originally published on slideyfoot.com.
