Physical and chemical treats can be classified by the changes appearing on the molecular level. In general, chemical handles involve changes in chemical bonds, while physical processes involve alterations only in intermolecular powers. Some process do not fit neatly into one category: for example, when NaCl melts in sea, ionic ligaments are broken( suggesting a chemical process ), but no new substances are constituted( proposing a physical process ).
